My boyfriend and i make a conscious effort to have a date night once every couple of weeks. It usually involves my 2 favourite things… food and wine! This week we tried the restaurant dated number 15 on Cardiff’s trip advisor “The Purple Poppadom“.
Only a slight door which is easily missed
Lead into a very bright but suave Indian restaurant. I knew as we entered this wasn’t going to be any Indian restaurant as I checked their wine list!
Digging in I had Tandoori King Prawns – A plated trio of tandoori king prawns scented with Bengal kasundi mustard and rolled in spices, served with prawn risotto and ‘achari’ delicately home-pickled prawns… Fabulous
Somebody was enjoying it
For dessert a Chocomosa Anand which was Chef’s signature dessert of a light crispy pastry parcel filled with a melted Belgian chocolate ganache, served with homemade vanilla ice cream. And I opted for an Irish coffee.
